I’m fighting since days to get photo gallery plugins for WordPress running and I also tried some different standalone scripts. But all scripts create trouble during the generation of thumbnails from big pictures (big means about > 150K). Stratos web hosting plattform has memroy limitations for the PHP process at 8Mbyte. But most of the scripts try to allocate more than 8Mbyte for graphic operations and manipulation. Also hacks like configuring max memory for PHP on the .htaccess files is not working on PowerWeb hosting packages. The only chance is migrating to a dedicated server or only use pictures less than 150K.
Damn – Strato did not list that limitation in their package description!
If somebody has any other idea, how to remove that limitation please let me know.
