Here and there we got noticed by press releases or other media that just another large IT Project failed, got canceled or rolled out but never delivered the expected results. This is not only a problem of Germanys goverment projects (e-perso/electronic ID Card) Â or large projects between the public and privat sector (e.g. DE.Mail)Â . Also other countries have issues to successfuly complete large projects. IEEE Spectrum did an analysis of the past years and made a great graphical overview on it. The analysis covers projects from 2005 up to now and you can search and filter for project size, region and fail reasone: Money, People or Duration.
